ADDY Awarded to Amelia Island Plantation

Amelia Island Plantation and webmaster Betty Jimmo have been awarded a 2008 local ADDY by the Creative Spirit of Advertising awards for Jimmo’s development of holiday e-cards. The program offered guests and employees the opportunity to send holiday greeting cards electronically from the Amelia Island Plantation website. The award is shared with ZGraph, the agency that works with Amelia Island Plantation on its web and printed design work.

Jimmo, an Amelia Island Plantation employee for 25 years, has served as webmaster for the previous 10 years. She has completed post graduate work, earning her CIW designer certification. She serves as an adjunct professor at FCCJ, teaching its introduction to hospitality management classes.

Amelia Island Plantation, the largest employer in Nassau County, occupies the southernmost third of Amelia Island. Its 1,350 acres of maritime forest complements its 610 accommodations with ocean-, resort- and golf-course views, 72 holes of championship golf, 3 ½ miles of wide uncrowded beach, 23 tennis courts, 20 pools, and its multitude of recreational and nature activities.
